Do you want to feel like Harry Potter in Hogwarst Library? Now you can. Just enter Braidense Library.
Commissioned by empress Maria Teresa d’Asburgo, this library is a real masterpiece.
Don’t miss the hall dedicated to her, with its original wooden shelves, designed by architect Giuseppe Piermarini and its very peculiar gallery.
Make sure you visit the reading room, that preserves Latin and Greek classics, scientific XVI century books and even some books coming from writer Alessandro Manzoni’s private collection.
Little hints: leave backpacks and bags outside the library.
Library open Mon-Fri from 8.30 am to 6.15 pm; Sat from 9 am to 1:45 pm
