Designed by Giovanni Battista Bossi between 1902 and 1906, Casa Guazzoni is a typical Liberty house, ressembling Casa Malpighi (3, Via Malpighi) by the same architect.
Built in concrete and iron, also used for little angels and wreaths, Casa Guazzoni’s façade offers wonderful chiaroscuros. Master Mazzucotetlli’s wrought iron sculptures are also amazing.
You’ll hardly resist the temptation to take a #straightfacade pic.
Next to Casa Guazzoni, on its left, you’ll notice a smaller building with similar decorations. This is the Ex Dumont Cinema, the first cinema in Milan, now converted into a district library.
