The Circolo Filologico is the oldest cultural association in town, founded in 1872 in order to approach and understand different cultures.
Housed in a floral style building situated in via Clerici since 1907, it is famous for its magnificent Liberty style and double height dining room and for its library containing over one hundred thousand volumes, established by the founder of “Corriere della Sera“ in 1875.
Currently the club is hosting the exhibition called Art Aquarium, a totally new type of art, born in Japan, which is expressed by means of aquariums and ornamental fish.
