- perspective at the Colonne
Together with Porta Nuova, in Via Manzoni, the ancient Porta Ticinese, next to the Colonne di San Lorenzo, is one of the two medieval gates of the city that still exist in Milan. Originally built in the 12th century, the structure was restored in 1861 by Camillo Boito that inserted two lateral arches next to the original access.
