More info

San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore is a church originally situated next to the most important female convent of the Benedictine nuns in the city, Monastero Maggiore, which is now used as an archaeological museum. The Hall of Nuns is one of the most beautiful areas of the church thanks to its super colored paintings. This church is dubbed the ‘Sistine Chapel of Milan’, so it is definitely worth a visit

The cloister, through which you access the archaeological museum, is very pretty and holds some ruins in its area.

This Church is in front of Palazzo Litta, a building considered one of the most important examples of Baroque architecture in Milan.

Open Tue-Wed-Fri from 9 am to 7:30 pm, Thu from 9 am to 10:30 pm, Sat and Sun from 9 am to 8 pm.
