This church is famous for the so called “Bramantesque perspective”, that is a choir that Bramante sculpted behind the church’s altar as a trompe l’oeil. In fact, seen from the entrance, at the end of the nave, this choir distorts the view, while getting closer you can perceive how beautifully deceptive this sculpture is.
The floor is made of black and white diamond shaped tiles, just in case you may want to take a picture #fromwhereyoustand.
