- the colourful façades
- the narrow alleys
… and then, althought you thought you were walking in the city, you finally find yourself in a small labour village built between 1884 and 1892.
Intended to be the proper answer for all the families who needed a house at those times, nowadays Via Lincoln is a wonderful experiment representing what an ideal city should be, including liveable areas.
This district has been named “Villaggio Arcobaleno”, literally the Rainbow Village, after its turquoise, pink, sea green and yellow houses, whose colourful façades were not present in the original project regarding this area.
Walking in Via Lincoln narrow streets makes you feel like in a separate world where its unique atmosphere is made more precious by dozens of small courtyards, flowers and bowers. Perfect hashtag: #colouredhouses.
